We held another wonderful memorial walkathon on Sunday May 2nd 2010 at the site of the Memorial Benches in North Adelaide. We are so pleased to let you know the day was such a wonderful success and so special in memory of all the precious babies little lost lives.
Over 450 people joined us to walk in honour of the babies little lost lives. It was really special to see so many families & friends come together to honour precious babies and make a difference for the program. People set up picnic spots and spent the day. Many had personalised their own t shirts in memory of their baby's and wore them proudly
The balloon release was the highlight of the day with more than 400 balloons being released, it was lovely (and emotional) to watch them fly away into the beautiful clear sky.
We have continued to receive such wonderful feedback regarding the walkathon and we welcome anyone that attended to also give us their thoughts. People were already talking of next year, we certainly look forward to you joining us again.
Thank you to everyone who has raised funds, it has been so wonderful to watch the tally rise on Go Fundraise. Don't forget you have until Monday 17th to return your fundraised money to be eligible for the first prize holiday to Kangaroo Island!
