Stillbirth Foundation Ball

   

On Saturday July 25th Jaylee, Trudi and Trinity attended the Stillbirth Foundations annual Little Steps taking big steps Ball at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.

For many years TLC and the Stillbirth foundation have worked side by side in two very important aspects of pregnancy and infant loss- support and research. The Stillbirth Foundation is leading the way with some insightful studies into stillbirth just as TLC continues to provide support and understanding to many families that have experienced stillbirth and pregnancy loss across Australia.

The night was hosted by Jay Laga'aia who did a fabulous job. A wonderful band ensured the atmosphere was great and once the formalities were over, there was quite a bit of dancing going on!

It was so wonderful to finally meet founder Emma and event organiser Melinda after many emails and phone calls over the years. TLC was formally thanked for attending on the nights as well as all Stella Bears purchased donated back to TLC to provide to maternity hospitals. As the theme was Christmas in July, a Christmas tree was decorated in Stella bears, it looked absolutely gorgeous. 

We all ended up going over our 20kg allowance on the way home so a big thank you for our donations; they are greatly appreciated and will ensure bereaved parents do not leave the hospital with empty arms. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the stillbirth foundation. We will definetly be back next year and encourage any of you to attend the event in 2010.
