TLC Baby Memorial Bench Unveiling, Balloon Release and Teddy Bears Picnic in the Park
May 6th 2007 Brougham Gardens opposite the Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital
Teddy Love Club held a memorial bench unveiling, balloon release and teddy bears picnic in the park.
Around 100 people joined us for a very special and memorable day. Trudi welcomed everyone, Jaylee gave a wonderful speech telling everyone of the heartfelt effort that was put into making the day happen, what we hoped the benches will mean for so many others and importantly some sad but truthful pregnancy and infant loss statistics in the hope that we can bring much awareness to the community. We then unveiled the baby memorial benches and Trinity then led everyone in a very emotional and moving balloon release
Everyone stayed on for a lovely picnic in the park, it was so wonderful to meet new families and share the day with some old friends of TLC. The children were kept very entertained by Glen Fiegert dazzling them with tricks and balloons. Julie Farmer (from Serendipity entertainment ) made all the children ( and some TLC Mums) look fabulous with her terrific face painting. Anthony & Shane mine and Jacqui's husbands were busy bbqing with Jacqui, Bek & Simone kept just as busy serving up the sausage sizzle. Jacqui's Mum, Dad & Sister volunteered their help and finished off the day behind the sausage sizzle table keeping everyone topped up with cold drinks and hot snags. Trinity along with Jayne's family manned the key rings and raffle book table supplying everyone with beautiful TLC bench day key rings. Two big tubs were filled with gorgeous teddy bear donations to be given to newly bereaved families through the teddy love club program. We had a gorgeous display of TLC events, information, newspapers and even some keepsake display ( Jaylee's ~Kai's~ & Logan's keepsakes) that are from some business that support TLC.
We were very proud to display our new TLC banner that we had made just for the day.
We would truly love to thank everyone for coming, for all of the wonderful donations, for the support that everyone showed to the many bereaved parents that stood amongst us and for the beautiful acknowledgement of all the precious babies little lost lives.

To Julie Farmer for donating her wonderful face painting talent. To Glen Fiegert for the fantastic children's entertainment. To Anthony & David for packing up. To Dr Chris Wilkinson for coming along to show his care and compassion.
