Telephone and Email Bereavement Counselling - 1800 824 240
The 1800 Free Call bereavement line is available for families to speak with a bereavement support worker . On the weekend the line is staffed by a wonderful group of professionals and trained parent support workers who volunteer their time on a roster. The 1800 line is available for any parent or family member who would just like to talk with someone. It doesn’t matter how long ago, or how recent your loss has been, this service is available for you to access. If you would like or need ongoing phone counselling we will talk about that when you call and arrange an appointment time for a counsellor to call again.
For some people, ringing a phone line and talking to a stranger for the first time can be a daunting experience. So if you would prefer, you are able to email us instead at firstname.lastname@example.org . Often this is an easier way to share your story and let us know what kind of support you are wanting. On occasion we might use email back and forth until you feel comfortable talking on the phone, or we can link you in to a support meeting or other events for ongoing support, and for some people you might just feel you need a one off. What ever you choose we are always here to offer this support regardless of when your baby has died.
