Family Day
Family Day 2010
What a great turn out we had at this years family day with over 50 people coming along. The kids all enjoyed making their own beautiful keepsakes in loving memory of their special babies. They really loved being included as you can see from the photos below.
Some activates we had were a treasure hunt with each child finding their own little teddy bear to keep & cuddle, A Quilt Of Love which I will get made into a quilt shortly to display at TLC events, It's really beautiful, everyone had a square to decorate You can see that each square was made with a lot of love & care.Other activities to name a few were the Angel snow domes, decorating a sheet with a lovely memorial poem, decorating a heart or flower fridge magnet, decorating a memorial rock to place in a special garden, play-doh.
The day was really special, one in which I hope all who attended walked away with some special keepsakes & memories.
"We went and put our Kai Rock in his tree which was really nice and special! " From Jaylee & Logan who attended family day in loving memory of ~Kai & Lachlan~
"I think the best thing for Connor will be the teddy bear he got on the treasure hunt...that will be something that will stay with him for years I think."
"For myself, although it has been five years and I generally travel really well these days it was a great time to just dedicate to Anna, and to share with my whole family."
Tammy who attended family day in loving memory of ~Anna~
"Family day was really fun,I liked making the crafts with my cousins and aunty. We made lots of the quilt squares for Kirrikee.I don't think I have a favorite part because the whole day was really good."

Family Day 2009

On Sunday March 1st 2009 TLC held our first Family Day. It was a fantastic afternoon with approximately 40 people coming along. Many families of angel babies also have other children and often wonder how they can keep their baby brother's, sister's or cousin's memory alive or even let them know that before they were born they had a brother/sister/cousin. The children drew pictures, wrote poems, painted, coloured in, made cards and much more all in memory of their special sibling.Trinity made a banner in which all children could write/paint their name as well as their brother, sister or cousin's. The children really enjoyed this and would happily speak about their special angel babies. A big thankyou to everyone who donated craft items and paint. We would also like to thank the Nailsworth playgroup for allowing us to borrow their toys and play equipment. The kids thoroughly enjoyed them. We would also like to thank Trinity for organising the event. There was so much time and effort put into the day and we are really grateful for everything you do in memory of your niece ~Kirikee~. For those of you that came along- thank you. We feel very privileged to meet your family. We welcome any feedback regarding the day.
